The Second Annual Mark Wilde Invitational

It's that time of year again. The second annual Mark Wilde Invitational Golf Tournament.
The day was gorgeous and everyone had a good time. It was less emotional than last year when we were still so fresh from Dad's passing. Since the tournament is scheduled the week of Dad's birthday, and since golfing was one of Dad's favorite things to do, the event really feels like a celebration.
So far, Steele is the only one of us that golfs. (I would like to take some lessons.) But spending the day with our extended golf family keeps memories alive.
Desiree and I are the official photographers. We changed our strategy a bit this year and got much better shots. Plus, who doesn't like cruising around in a golf cart?
We're so grateful to everyone who came out and supported the tournament! The purpose is to raise money for the Sharp Hospice Foundation. We had such a good experience with them and wish to make their services available to more. We are raising money and awareness about hospice care. If you were unable to golf with us there is another way you can donate. Just visit crowdrise.com and give what you can. The minimum donation is $10 and every little bit helps. We have a donor that is willing to match whatever amount we raise.

We also created a Mark Wilde Foundation facebook page. Please visit, like it and follow along as we post updates and schedule future events.

Next year's tournament is tentatively scheduled for the third Monday in April. Mark your calendars and joins us at Steele Canyon Golf Course.
